We are proud to announce the beginning of an exciting new security partnership with The Quad at York in Toronto, Ontario. Located in the south of York’s Keele Campus, The Quad is a fully amenitized student housing development that’s quickly become a bustling campus community. It’s home to restaurants, hairdressers, coffee shops and even bicycle repair shops!
Like any other residential development in Southern Ontario, students are drawn to The Quad for its impressive amenity list, sense of security and exclusive location. Blackbird Security is playing an important role for The Quad, with our dedicated and flexible Ontario security guards performing security foot patrols and emergency response services.
Our Ontario security guards are trained to act in a discreet and welcoming manner, assisting residents with any emergency situation that arises, while always ensuring students are enjoying this spacious and quiet community.
On-site, our team performs a hybrid role of concierge security, alongside more traditional uniformed security guards. What this means in practice, is that our concierge security guards act as front desk security, providing access control, upkeep of building policies, and a warm welcome to residents when they return home. This front-of-house presence is augmented perfectly by our uniformed security guards, who conduct regular patrols to look for property damage, safety hazards, compromised access points, suspicious activity and potential environmental concerns.
This hybrid approach allows our team to maximize security coverage and visible security presence, all while reassuring residents their safety is top of mind.
