Like every business across Canada, Blackbird Security is navigating the unique challenges posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Throughout this time, the safety, security and health of our team members and clients remains our number one priority.

At times like this, it’s vital to maintain our essential security services. That’s why we’re sharing the steps we’re undertaking to ensure we maintain the high levels of service our clients expect. 

Blackbird Security Action Plan

With more and more businesses empowering staff to work remotely, or closing their doors temporarily, security has never been more important. Blackbird Security will remain ready to serve our clients in whatever capacity is needed in the coming weeks and months. Below, we outline the steps we are taking to ensure we maintain our high service standards.

Safety First

We have created a Health Management Team that is diligently checking client sites. We have increased our procedures around sanitation and are adhering to current government advice regarding social distancing in customer/client interactions. All team members have been advised to stay home when sick.

Backups in Place

We are making every effort to ensure service continues if our frontline team members should become sick. We have activated dedicated on-call employees to safely take over shifts for any staff members who are sick or self-isolating.

Clear Reporting

All staff have been instructed to report directly to District Management if they feel ill, or unable to perform their duties. In these instances, we will activate a backup and maintain business operations in the affected areas.

Regular Check-Ins

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 rapidly develops, we will regularly assess the alert level of situations on a region-by-region, province-by-province basis. We will base these decisions on the latest information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health. Our Emergency Management Team is actively monitoring the evolving situation and making decisions accordingly based on the policies outlined above.
