Introducing Our New Client: UBC Robson Square Campus

At Blackbird Security, we love partnering with educational institutions to service their private security needs. After all, they train our next generation and have campuses in all of our major cities. If you’re in the market for a new campus security provider, have you considered Blackbird? In this blog, we’ll detail how we partner with one of the newest members of the Blackbird Security family: UBC Robson Square Campus.

Downtown Vancouver Security Guards

Robson Square is one of Downtown Vancouver’s most iconic settings. In 2010, it was the scene of wild celebrations during the Winter Olympics, and each year it plays host to the city’s underground ice rink. It’s also home to UBC’s Robson Square campus, where our dedicated uniform security guards have been hard at work.

Vancouver is the home of Blackbird Security. We also employ many UBC alumni. That’s why we’re excited to support an institution that has positively impacted so many members of our team and the broader community in our province.

At Robson Square, our team members perform concierge security duties and patrol security services. Every security guard on our team for the Robson Square site has full OFA-2 Certification, advanced security training, and has graduated from Blackbird Security’s own in-house de-escalation and customer service training courses.

During the pandemic, the need for our patrol security guards and concierge guards has increased greatly. Campuses like Robson Square are often left scarcely attended due to the current public health guidelines. This means a robust security presence is often required to deter opportunistic criminals.
